About the Business
From 1992 to 2004 Duncan O'Connor was the Head Therapist at Hull Kingston Rovers, one of the longest established clubs in the Rugby Football League. Duncan was responsible for the treatment and rehabilitation of the injured players. Professional sportsmen and women need to recover from injury as quickly as possible and there is pressure from the playing staff, the coaching staff and even a few supporters to get players back on the field as soon as possible. Good clinical skills are required for this but people management skills are also of great importance. Duncan was also responsible for the mental preparation for performance, teaching and reinforcing techniques to enhance motivation, concentration and confidence. Duncan maintained a good professional relationship with the different coaches and board members throughout this period and enjoyed a good relationship with the media and the supporters at all times.
